Make a resuable res for all classes
I did a search and couldnt find anything, but its also 5:30 am and im half asleep...
This is my idea. Since the skill Resurrect has no official attribute, make it available for all classes to be able to obtain. this way we can use another alternative than a res sig or havign to have a Monk scondary or primary.
discuss...

If the whole party has used their rez signets, and you still need more, something is very, very wrong.

All classes do have a reusable res. Its called a Resurrection Signet. All you have to do is gain a moral boost after using it the first time and 'POOF!' You have another ressurection thing.

A ress for the other 5 classes was suggested a few months ago, not sure if it was on this particular fansite though..
Someone posted some concept skill for the non-monk classes and imo they weren't broken or unbalancing. Can't remember what they were but it had something like the necro ress being able to ress someone but kinda as something between a normal ress and a bone horror and the ranger ress involved not being able to leave from a certain distance from a particular ress spirit or something (kinda like how you can't distance yourself too much from unyielding aura).
The ress signet is btw not reusable. You still need to kill a boss or complete a quest for it to reactivate (plz correct me if I'm wrong) and the main reason why X/Mo is by far the most common combination in the game is because of the ability to take a real reusable ress.
It would be great if someone remembers where that thread was, it was interesting.
But I have to agree that every class having a ress (or resses) as powerfull as the monk ones wouldn't be that good an idea.

I don't see why it wouldn't be a good idea, but I think A-net must have some kind of justification for it. I mean while we're at it let's give all the classes skills to heal themselves. And other people. Hey, I just realized why don't we just split up the monk skills and give them to everybody else and we'll just abolish the monk class. Or we could replace the monks with magical fizzy drinks.
"WTB Cola maz heal" I hear you cry. Or better yet we could shut up and bet that A-net knows what it's doing. Ok?

^Is right.
Because half the point of becoming half monk is to be able to use a decent Res. How many players do you know that would take someone who isn't primary monk as a healer or protector? Can't think of many, myself. That's what monks do. They Res, they heal, they protect, and they (Not quite so much, IMO) hurt the enemy. If you give every other class a reusable Res, you're taking away an extremely critical part of the monk. So no.
Stick this in the lost and forgotten bin of bad ideas.

/unsigned it takes away the value of the monk class if you give res SPELL to every class. It also takes away from the reality set of the fantasy classes. A warrior isn't trained in ressing unless he learns the arks of monking. Same with the other classes except monks. Res signet is far fetched enough without giving them a spell besides.
On the other hand I would agree for PVP only a specific slot that only has a res signet in it, for those unwilling or unknowingly that don't ever bring one to the pvp arenas. This way they can't say I didn't bring one.

I have another reason this would be a bad idea: reusable res skills completely suck anyway, except Rebirth in PvE, and maybe Vengeance in PvP for a cheap laugh. If you allowed everybody to take reusable res, then the arenas would be flooded with idiots who don't res because they get interrupted or killed while waiting around for the spell to finish. Y'know, like how paladins are now.
PS: Oh, I guess you can also take Dwayna's Whatsitcalled if you're doing an Edge Bomb. 'tever.
PPS: And rezmers. But they're annoying enough already, you don't need to let them take /Mo out of their stat line.

This idea is unnecessary. In PvE, usually at least half the team is Mo/* or */Mo, which means they bring a res. Beyond that, res signet is more than enough.

Ressurection Signets along with at least one x/mo/or mo/x should be plenty for any mission esspecially since each boss kill (moral boost) recharges the ressurection signets.

The game is about tough decisions. Do we really want make people harder to kill teams? If a team needs more than 6-8 rezes, do they really deserve to win? We are getting another class with rez skills which means a 25% of classes will have a hard rez option instead of 17%. Combined with map related rezes and signet recharges, a good group is doing just fine.
This suggestion needs to be tossed.
